Celebrate With Us...
In these pages, we will celebrate our polymers students and the plethora of polymers educational activities we use in the classroom to deliver our state framework of skills. Like Foghorn Leghorn or any good rooster would do, we will "crow" about these things that are so important to the success of our program. The pages will be separated into several different blog-type posts.
The first post will be entitled "Student Stars." In this post, Mr. Brownlow will select a student from one of the polymers one or two sections to highlight. The student will be interviewed using a student information and survey instrument, and Mr. Brownlow will arrange for photos of the student to be taken and ultimately used in the weekly post. The pictures of the student will be taken from various activities the student is involved in. We take many pictures in class, but this blog will require the use of images from orchestra or band, sports, clubs, competitions, etc. in order to capture the great variety of activities that each student is involved in on a daily basis. This Student of the Week post is very important. Mr. Brownlow feels very strongly that we must celebrate individual as well as larger group accomplishments for the students enrolled in the polymers classes of Hattiesburg High School.
In the second post, students that have had outstanding success will be highlighted. Mr. Brownlow will detail their success and provide other information in celebration of their richly deserved recognition. Class pictures and other media will be used when possible.
We hope that, in celebrating our course content in the ways outlined, we will give valuable information to students, parents, and other educators about our classroom activities (and about the importance of polymers to our modern society)...
