Polymers Two Syllabus
The polymers two course is a two-hour, two-credit, career and technical class that focuses on five units of study. Four of these units are tested on the end-of-year CPAS exam that all enrolled students must take. The Resumé, Job Application, and Performance Tasks are assessed using a performance-based assessment.
The first unit of review is not tested as such, but it is necessary and much of the material in units four and five are critical to the polymer synthesis unit of study.

NOTE: There are nine polymer programs for high school students in the state of Mississippi that fall under the career and technical umbrella of course offerings. The teachers in these schools tend to teach these five units in their own unique way. Students at each site must answer the same 100 items on the common polymer assessment instrument. Time on each unit is suggested, but each teacher monitors and adjusts time on units to meet the needs of their students.
